Jordan and some of the staff at GripIt attended the World Alzheimer’s Day ball on Wednesday 21st of September. The ball took place in London where they had a private dinner at an embassy and then were transported to Lancaster House for desserts, champagne and dancing!
The evening started at 6:30pm when the team arrived at the Turkish embassy, there were 12 embassies that were taking part in hosting the dinner. The team got to dine with some of the members of the Turkish embassy such as the duty head of mission, the counsellors and their wife’s. Unfortunately, the ambassador of the embassy was unable to make the dinner due to a meeting. The team had drinks upstairs in the beautiful lounge area, explained by one of the team as Downtown Abbey (very posh!)
The team were then taken to the dining room where there was a big 14 seater table set up, looking very particular with all the glasses, plates and cutlery set out. For starter was a prawn and avocado gazpacho with a side plate of bread, the main was lamb chunks stuffed with spinach cover with tomato and artichoke sauce, plus a side of aubergine pure. After dinner the staff and councillors had photos in the beautiful dining room and hallway with everyone that was dining.
A coach was then sent to the house to pick us all up and take us to Lancaster House where the dessert and dancing was taking place. “When we got there, the house was stunning, it looked so grand”. At Lancaster house before entering the hall/gallery we were met by Lady Barbara Judge CBE who is chairman of the special events and support committee for Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK, after your greeting with her, you were handed a glass of champagne and lead into the hall where there stood a show of delicious desserts and endless amounts of champagne.
The team had a great evening at the World Alzheimer’s Day Ball and would like to say thank you very much to the Alzheimer’s Society for inviting us and putting on a great ball! The evening was then spend dancing the night away! For media enquiries please email [email protected]
